DCE INSPECTS DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS IN PRU WEST DISTRICT
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Pru West, Hon. Samuel Agyapong, together with officials from the Assembly and representatives of Ghana Districts, undertook an inspection tour of ongoing and completed development projects across the district.
The visit formed part of the Assembly’s commitment to monitoring projects and ensuring that public funds are used effectively to improve the lives of residents. The projects are being funded through the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) under the 2025–2026 fiscal year, and some of them are legacy projects that had remained stalled since 2016.
During the inspection, the team visited the Tigangam CHPS Compound and Staff Bungalow, which is currently about 70 percent complete. They also inspected the Faka D/A Primary School 6-Unit Classroom Block, which is nearing completion at 98 percent. Work on the English Arabic KG Block was also reviewed and found to be progressing steadily at 45 percent completion. The team further visited the Prang Community Water Project, which has been successfully completed and is now providing residents with access to potable water through mechanised boreholes and a pumping system.
Speaking during the tour, Hon. Agyapong expressed satisfaction with the progress of work on the various projects and commended the contractors for their efforts. He reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to ensuring that all ongoing projects are completed on schedule to serve the needs of the people.
The DCE noted that the projects are expected to improve access to quality healthcare, education, and clean drinking water while contributing significantly to the socio-economic development of the district. He assured residents that the Assembly will continue to closely monitor all projects to ensure quality work and value for money.
The inspection highlights the Assembly’s determination to accelerate development and improve the living conditions of communities across the Pru West District.
