The Agyenim Boateng Foundation, led by its founder and CEO, Mr. Agyenim Boateng, alongside co-founder Hajia Issah Sakina, has officially handed over a fully renovated Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound to the chiefs and people of Kamampa, located in the Pru West District of the Bono East Region. Prior to this intervention, the critical local facility had fallen into a severe state of disrepair, hindering the delivery of basic medical care. The comprehensive structural transformation is set to significantly improve primary healthcare accessibility for thousands of residents within the community.
In addition to the extensive infrastructural renovation, the foundation provided substantial logistical assets to ensure the clinic functions effectively. A brand-new motorbike was donated to the facility to enhance mobility, outreach, and emergency response times across the sub-district. Furthermore, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worth thousands of Ghana Cedis was supplied to safeguard frontline medical staff and elevate the standard of clinical health delivery in the area.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Agyenim Boateng, who also serves as the Bono East Deputy Regional Youth Organizer, delivered a powerful message centered on grass-roots initiative and civic responsibility. He explicitly challenged the mindset of complete dependence on state authorities, stating that it is time for citizens to stop relying solely on politicians and instead focus on what community members can collectively achieve to uplift their own localities. According to Mr. Boateng, this philosophy of self-reliance stands as the most crucial pillar for sustainable local development.
The colorful commissioning ceremony brought together an influential group of traditional and healthcare stakeholders, signaling strong institutional support for the project. Among the prominent dignitaries present were the Kamampa Wura, Nana Kwame Wande II, the Pru West District Director of Health, and regional executives from the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA). This joint handover ceremony underscored the powerful impact of public-private partnerships in addressing rural healthcare deficits and advancing socio-economic well-being.
