Functions of the Assembly
- Exercise political and administrative authority within the district.
- Formulate and execute plans, programmes, and strategies for the effective mobilization of resources necessary for the overall development of the district.
- Promote and support productive economic activities and social development within the district.
- Monitor and evaluate development projects and programmes within the district.
- Promote local economic development and job creation.
- Promote local economic development and job creation.
- Maintain security, peace, law, and order in collaboration with relevant security agencies.
- Collaborate with traditional authorities, development partners, civil society organizations, and the private sector to accelerate district development.
- Perform any other functions assigned under the Local Governance Act and other relevant enactments.
- Perform such other functions as may be assigned under any enactment.
