The Pru West District Assembly was honored to receive an official working visit from the Esteemed Kheikh Khalifah of the Household of Sheikh Abdullahi Maikano Jalloh, at the new office complex on Wednesday, 17th September, 2024. This significant visit strengthened ties between the Assembly and the revered religious leader, underscoring a shared commitment to fostering community development and cohesion.
In his remarks, the Eminence Kheikh Khalifah commended the assembly for its dedication to community development and stressed the importance of collaborative efforts between religious leaders and local government. He emphasized that such partnerships were essential for ensuring social harmony, addressing community challenges, and supporting educational and social welfare initiatives in the district.
The DCE expressed gratitude for the visit, noting that the presence of the Eminence Kheikh Khalifah and the delegation highlights spiritual commitment to maintaining close relationships with traditional and religious leaders, which is pivotal to the district’s progress.
The visit concluded with a discussion on future collaborative efforts, with both parties pledging to work together to enhance the welfare and development of the District. There was a renewed commitment to leverage on annual Maulid festival to promote tourism in the district. The Spiritual leader seized the opportunity to pray and intercede for management and staff of the District Assembly.
