FIRST ORDINARY ASSEMBLY MEETING HELD IN PRU WEST DISTRICT

On July 30, 2024, the 3rd Batch of the Pru West District Assembly convened its First Ordinary Assembly Meeting of the year, bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders, including Honorable Assembly Members, representatives of the Prang and Abease Traditional Councils, Heads of Departments and Units, civil society representatives, concerned citizens, and media personnel.

The meeting, held at the assembly hall, featured a robust agenda aimed at addressing key development issues within the district. The DCE, Hon. David Manu delivered a comprehensive sessional address outlining the assembly’s achievements, challenges, and priorities for the coming year. Emphasizing community engagement, the DCE encouraged collaboration among all stakeholders to drive sustainable development

Hon. Obour, an appointed member of the Assembly remarked that, “This meeting is crucial for aligning our efforts and ensuring that we are responsive to the needs of the people.”

The Assembly’s commitment to inclusive governance was evident, as stakeholders actively engaged in discussions, sharing insights and suggestions for the change process.

As the meeting concluded, Hon. Yakubu Aminu Mohammed (PM) expressed gratitude to all participants for their contributions and valuable insights necessary for achieving the district’s development goals. He emphasized that he was committed to leading the Assembly to effectively execute its deliberative and legislative functions
